相关介绍: Decomposition, or splitting, methods have been widely used for achieving higher computational efficiency in solving wave equations. A major concern has remained, however, if the wave numbers involved are exceptionally large. In the case, merits of a conventional splitting method may diminish due to the fact that tiny discretization steps need to be employed to compensate high oscillations. In this talk, we will focus at some alternative ways for solving highly oscillatory paraxial wave equations. Novel new and effective strategies, such as the FAST method for approximating Stratton-Chu Scattering diffraction integrals will be introduced. The oscillation-free system can thus be treated via standard algorithms with desired accuracy, efficiency and computability. These new methods implemented are easy to use in linear or nonlinear beam propagations as well as beam-materials interaction computations. In fact, the higher the frequency of a wave function is involved, the better resolution of our approximations will be!
